Acer Aspire 5610-4845 Drivers
(Posted by: JJulien, Sat, 04 Aug, 2007 22:39:15)
Hello, I recently purchased the Acer Aspire 5610-4845 and I can't seem to find the correct drivers for my computer.
Let me explain myself, I went through the panamAcer driver downlaod, but it is not indicated from which model or for which card each driver is.
The system I bought runs on windows vista, due to performance issues, I want to switch to windows xp.
On the other hand I do not wish to downlaod wrong drivers for my computer.
Here are the specifications of my computer:
Intel core duo processor T2250 (1.73Ghz, 533Mhz FSB, 2mb L2 cache)
15.4" WXGA Acer CrystalBrite LCD (16ms)
Intel Grapics Media accelerator 950 ( :( )
160GB HDD
DVD-Super Multi double layer (support RW-R double layer)
1 GB DDR2
802.11 a/b/g wireless LAN
Thats all for the specifications...
Please enlighten me with the correct drivers, either a link or driver names, I do not wish to mess up the configuration.
P.S. the driver on the site might be right, but for the video card (which is what i noticed first) its nvidia, the driver I have right now is a intel 945, maybe its because its vista but i doubt it...
Thank you for your help

All or most of the drivers you need for vista are in vista, same with xp. A better way is to buy a new drive and partition then install xp. When you sell your computer put the old drive back in as well as the warranty for repair or if you screw up. Buy a new drive and put xp on it change them back an forth as needed a few screws they slide in and out, - bucks without all the trouble and if you do have trouble put the old drive back in. Xp will guide you through the install. Read up on installing XP. Be bold take a chance if you screw up put your old drive back in. The only vital driver you will need is wifi xp may take care of this for you via windows update. The drive is right under the touch pad open it up write down the model serial. Order a new one put it in close it up.
Put in xp cd power it up follow the instructions for partition and format read up on this and your on your way.
