IMPORTANT: To function properly, this WPA-enabled wireless LAN driver requires that the following SoftPaqs be installed:
  • HP iPAQ Pocket PC h5500 Series ROM Update Version 1.10.
  • HP iPAQ Pocket PC h5500 Series Wireless LAN Firmware Update with WPA Support Version 1.103.5.164.
    Fixes

  • Corrects LEAP authentication issue with Funk Radius Server.
  • Corrects signal strength indicator.
  • Corrects issue where memory is not reclaimed.
    Enhancements

    NOTE: Driver functionality in this SoftPaq and the superseded SoftPaq, SP27588, is the same. Consequently, if you already downloaded and applied SoftPaq SP27588, you do not need to download and apply this SoftPaq. This SoftPaq was created to correct text in the release note.

  • Adds support for WPA.
  • Adds a feature that provides additional safety when updating wireless LAN firmware.
  • Adds a feature that provides nine retries when roaming before indicating disconnect.
