Description for HP iPAQ h5455 Firmware:
iPAQ Pocket PC h5400 Series WLAN Firmware Update
Enables connect with a WLAN Access Point that supports both 802.11b and 802.11g.
Enhancements
Adds LEAP authentication client support.
Firmware Update can run under Pocket PC 2002 or Pocket PC 2003.
Prerequisites
For Pocket PC 2002, the ROM update v1.11.xx must be installed first before the WLAN firmware update is installed.DO NOT install the WLAN firmware update before installing ROM update v1.11.xx.
Synchronization software such as Microsoft ActiveSync 3.5 or later.
Notes
This is an initial release.
If the wireless LAN firmware update SoftPaq previously installed and upon launching the Wireless LAN firmware update SoftPaq again, a window with the selections 'Modify', 'Repair' and 'Remove' will appear. Select 'Remove' to uninstall the previous installation and launch the Wireless LAN firmware update SoftPaq again to reinstall.

Installation
HOW TO USE:
- Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
- Establish an ActiveSync connection between your iPAQ Pocket PC and host PC.
- Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions (This will unpack the WLAN Firmware update file to a directory on your host PC and automatically launch the installation wizard.)
- When ActiveSync Add/Remove Programs starts, select Yes to “Install … using the default application install directory.”Select OK when the application downloading is complete.(This will launch the utility on your iPAQ Pocket PC.)
- Make sure your iPAQ Pocket PC is connected to AC power and tap the “Start Update” button on the iPAQ.(The current and the new WLAN firmware versions are displayed along with a progress bar.The update takes approximately 1 minute to complete.)
- When the WLAN ROM Update completes, tap OK and perform a Normal Reset on the iPAQ, by pressing the reset button on the bottom of the iPAQ for 2 seconds, using the stylus.
- After successful completion of the firmware update, you may delete the following if you wish:
a) The Firmware Update Utility from the iPAQ by going to State->Settings->System tab->Remove Program. Select 'hp WLAN Firmware Update' and tap the Remove button.
b) The self-extracting file downloaded to your host PC in step 1
c) The directory created on your host PC in step 3
